: I found these custom patrol boots at a garage sale here in the area. when I picked them up to have a look, I noticed that the Vibram soles did not match. One was a regular sole with a 1" heel and the other was like a wedge, with no space between the arch and the floor. The heel and sole areas of both boots are exactly the same thickness. I asked the lady about it and she said that her husband had them made that way. He was not there, so I couldn't ask him why. My question is to the law enforcement or motorcycle guys on here. Does anyone know the reason why a patrolman would have his boots made like this? If you have any idea, I would sure like to know. Thanks, John

I thought the above one was old one, the under one was replace new sole.
