Oh, I've scraped the surface - Here's an example: I work downtown Cleveland and I rode the public bus for years - the bus that goes through the rougher neighborhoods. I like to sit in the back of the bus and I like to keep to myself. One afternoon, I get on the bus wearing brown muleskin cowboy boots, jeans and a fringed leather jacket. I walk to the back with my head down and take my usual seat, then I hear, "well what do we have here!?!" I look up to see three, fierce drag queens in full gear staring at me. For the rest of the trip, I endured screams of laughter, gestures, galloping noises - on and on - you get the picture. They were having a ball and I could feel my face burning bright red with embarrassment, but I didn't budge until it was my stop. The next day, I was right back on the bus, booted. That's just one story. Cleveland is no picnic, believe me. I don't post on this site without bringing something from my heart, with experience to back it up.

: tbh this is an ignorant reply. you don't know the self esteem issues others face when wearing them or what neighborhood they live in. When someone rolls out their window and yells mocking insults ... but please do not comment on knowing something you havent even scraped the surface with...
