I may have posted this in the wrong spot in the thread??
There are several reason guys wear boots- The guy who works as a carpenter, gardener, mechanic,or anyone you see in Home Depot etc. - no one expects them to be wearing anything but work boots-
The working wrangler wearing cowboy boots, or living in cowboy country- same-
The guy on a bike could be in sneakers, or any kind of boots and get no attention- even walking in tall Wescos but carrying a helmet, gets no attention-
BUT- The guy in Walmart wearing spurs (I've seen it), on a City street in tall Wescos or riding boots, or cowboy boots with the jeans tucked in- are making a statement-"I am going to be noticed" or "I'm a tough guy"-. But I am betting the guy WANTS to be noticed. If you're a guy who wears his leather jacket with the collar turned up, you wear boots-
If you don''t like being "too" noticed and want to dress to fit in with everyone else, but you like boots, you can wear "fashion" boots-
I have taken the bus to the barn in stretch breeches, patrol boots and spurs, carrying my helmet- No one paid attention- I assume had I not been in uniform, I would get stared at -
If you like boots wear them- anyone who makes a negative comment is someone who doesn't have the balls to.
