: : : : If anyone has any suggestions on where else to look/buy, I'd appreciate it.
: : : Where are you located, Ken?
: : Vancouver, BC. Why? Any suggestions for me?
: Unfortunately no; I'm not familiar with Vancouver. (I've visited once. Beautiful city, and I hope to get back there someday.) However, hopefully I can offer encouragement. At least my impression is, Canadian men do leather better than do Americans. Years ago I lived near the border for a short time, and since then have traveled to Canada on several occasions. Every once in awhile I would see Canadian men wearing leather jeans, and bikers wore full leathers more often than not. I've been able to find great high-quality leather jackets and gloves in Canadian stores which were very hard or impossible to come by in American retail. Ironically, boots not so much. I would see American men in boots more often than Canadians.
: Have you checked out Seattle? If any American city is going to offer leather jeans, I should think Seattle would be a good candidate. Closer to my home, Los Angeles used to boast a variety of shops where a guy could find a pair of leather jeans, but unfortunately they are long gone. The weather down here just isn't very amenable for leather wearing, on top of leather for men generally having fallen out of style in America.
LOL! Was leather for men ever really "in-style"? It's such a hot look but not many men would do it either because it's too "sexy", too kinky, or too douchey. There's definitely an edge to wearing leather and most guys are just too conservative when it comes to fashion.
Saw a video recently of two people who write for a magazine who did an article about wearing leather pants. Pretty much ended with the guy saying, "I feel like a douche."... and that's the opinion/attitude people associate with men in leather pants.
