: So, I was able to find a local leather consignment shop that had some leather pants and finally managed to try some one.
: First reaction was, "Yes, I want these!"
: The advice I'd been given was to go with the measured waist size. Well, as it turns out, the ones tried on were the same as my jean size. Measuring my actual waist, I get 32. The 32s in the store were huge and the 30 was the right size. Anyone know what gives?
: One pair was from Leather Forever in SF. I understand this shop/manufacturer doesn't exist anymore. The pants fit really quite well and had the fit/style I'd probably seek. Unfortunately, it was unlined and also had some scuffs throughout. Still, I almost bought them. There was a pair of Schott size 28 that were beautiful but definitely too small for me. I was really impressed with the quality of those and think a 30/32 would be perfect.
: So now I'm on the hunt. Those pants were sexy as hell and felt really nice on my legs.
: If anyone has any suggestions on where else to look/buy, I'd appreciate it.
I have a pair of Schott's and really like them, they fit very well under my Big Boss boots. I got mine off Ebay at a heavily discounted price (though still not cheap). If you can find a used pair and are sure of the measurements, go for them! They're worth it!!
