Thanks for all your thoughts, prayers and messages.
For me, i am one of the lucky ones as i have power, internet, water but slow, and as for food, until the stores open up, i am down to cokes, water, bread, snacks... as i was concerned i would lose power and everything in the frig. and freezer would be lost - good plan but we (SE Texans) never thought so much water would fall over so many areas.
I count my blessings but i can't let my guard down as some homes were dry, and with in a few hours or much less for many, they had 3' up of water inside their homes.
I live about a city block from "Braes Bayou", a large waterway which is causing flooding in several subdivisions about 1/2-1 mile east of me. Homes to the far west & north have water to the roof level, some up to the second floor, and water is expected to be there for weeks of more - so - lot's of loss to thousands of families & homes - a tragedy referenced yesterday as "Biblical", a chilling note, and called by all weather / state /county/ FEMA as a 1000 (one thousand) year flood. Thanks to all. Bruce in wet Houston, TX
