: Ran across the video of this guy skateboarding in cowboy boots. I guess for you guys that don't get into seeing Vans or "skater shoes" this should be refreshing. Jonathan Danial Hill kicks off his 9.5D Vans, pulls on a pair of 10.5D Brazos cowboy boots and does board tricks in them. Just proves boots can be used anywhere.
Mike, J., thank you so much for posting this link. This video it totally cool, dude! Not only is the guy wearing a new pair of hot boots, it's so cool seeing him jumping around and being so active in them. As a nice side benefit, the skate boarding itself is incredible! I'm very impressed with his talent. Granted I have zero experience of viewing skateboarding, but I found myself mesmerized just by his routines. I very well could have enjoyed watching that video even if he were not wearing boots.
It reminds me of the first time I attended a police rodeo. I went with camera in hand ready to drink in and snap up a sea of men in tall riding boots. Sure, I wasn't disappointed in that regard, but I also found myself becoming intrigued with the competition itself. (For those who may not know, a police rodeo is not on horseback, but on iron horses. It's a motorcycle competition for cops.) After a couple hours I spent more time focused on actually watching the competition than staring at and photographing the cops! (Please don't ask me to turn in my bootman card.)
