: This is really cool. Most people do not know that law enforcement officers for the most part, are very physically fit and have great ability to do a variety of things, myself included. Whenever we get a chance to just follow through with public interaction, or have a little fun while on duty in uniform, we do it, time and situation permitting. We are encouraged, and find it of great use to interact, and be visible to those we serve and protect. I should also mention, that those we serve love the fact that we connect and bring smiles to us and themselves. Paul, I am glad you posted the picture and also Tom, you as well. Tom, you definite know the drill and could write a best seller book on your career.

But on a serious note, recently I've been seeing an ad on TV that begins with a white police officer approaching a couple of Black teens/children on a residential street. In the background we hear mumbled squawking on a police radio. It looks and sounds like trouble is afoot. Then suddenly we see the officer is holding a basketball, and he shoots a basket. The scene fast forwards, and now there are a bunch of kids playing hoops in the street with the cop. Despite how many times I've seen the ad I have no idea what it is advertising, but it is a cool commercial that does get across a positive message.
